Lindsay + Chris | Engagement

When I left my house to head to Lindsay’s parents for their engagement session, a dark sky followed me the whole way. It was hot, humid, and about to rain. Fantastic. We luckily made it all the way through without having too much of a problem. We dodged a couple of rain drops & it may have been worth it. We had some amazing skies above us that photographed so well.

They had a glass fire pit, it made for great photos. I can not wait for their fall wedding!

Megan + Ryan | Ohio Engagement Photography

I had a spare moment of time today in between waiting for my recent wedding to finish processing, I plugged in my old hard drive & realized I have a quite of few sessions that were never blogged. I could not think of a better couple to start off the blogging.

I am fully in love with the summer/spring sessions I’ve been doing lately, but seeing these fall colors made me wish it was fall again. The colors of the fallen leaves, the early evening sunsets, & the cuddling in close during sessions. Few things make me happier.

I can not wait for their fall wedding :)

Steph + Dan | Ohio Engagement Wedding Photography

Steph and Dan are two of the most sincere people you could meet. The day we finally met up to do their engagement photos felt like I was hanging out with two people I’ve always known. Steph & I have been emailing back and forth for most of winter, after spring finally arrived we couldn’t wait for their photos. I can not wait for their July wedding!

I love all the emotion in Steph’s eyes.

Jodi + Ryan | Engaged | Ohio Wedding Photography

How quickly time goes, I met with these two last fall to catch a gorgeous evening sunset. Gorgeous Jodi, she is one of those rare beauties who shines from the inside out. Her compliment is Ryan who is a great guy with a big heart. A heart that has been consumed by Jodi for quite sometime now. These two high school sweethearts prepare to marry each other tomorrow, I could not be more honored to photograph & share their day with them.

Steph + Brian + the girls | Ohio Engagement Photography

Steph is someone I’ve grown to be good friends with, she is the type of person that holds nothing back. Her stories can make me almost pee my pants from laughing, in fact peeing your pants is a story that actually does exist. I’m not even going to go there now… Steph has a huge heart, a heart that has been filled with love. Brian is Steph’s perfect complement. They are two incredibly laid back people who reassure my faith in happily ever after. It is like they were destined to be together all along, now that the have each other life is falling into place just the way it is supposed to.

We met up on a Sunday afternoon with Brian’s two girls that I adore. Are they not the most adorable kids? I told them they looked very pretty that day, both of them responded with a big smile & an even bigger thank you. Sweet little girls with good manners.

Perfect Sunday with perfect people, I couldn’t love this session anymore.

Vanessa & Travis | Ohio Engagement Photography

As I sit here trying to decide what to write about Vanessa & Travis I can’t help but think they are that couple that completes each other. I couldn’t image what they are like without the other. They are the couple who are a whole when they are together, the perfect complement

They are also two people that I have really gotten to know over the past year, I can not wait for their wedding. I’m sure it will be one of the most memorable!

Jena & Greg | Ohio Wedding Photography

We met at the church and headed out to a private property that they knew about. The late summer day couldn’t have been more perfect. As the sun set I watched Jena & Greg show their love for each other.

Josh & Lindsey | Ohio Wedding Photography

If you asked me what my favorite session of last year was, this is the session that comes to mind every time. I am not sure if it’s my genuine love for this couple, the amazing locations, or their love for each other. I’ve known Josh & Lindsey for a little chunk of time now. Josh is very outspoken and sincerely a good person. Lindsey is so pretty, it’s the kind of pretty that comes from the inside out. Josh is very luck to have found a woman like Lindsey. Anyone would be lucky to find a love like theirs. They love each other in a way that shows in the smallest details of daily life.

I went to Columbus, Ohio where they live for their session. I talked them into doing some fun city locations and they wanted some country ones to round out the session. If anyone was going to find a little piece of the country in Columbus it would be Josh.

I stopped to hang out with their dog Gracie while they changed outfits, I like her a lot too.

Where has the time gone, I’ll be back up for their wedding this weekend. I CAN NOT WAIT to photograph theirs. It’s going to be a memorable one! See you guys in a few days :)

Emily & Luke | Engagement

I photographed Emily & Luke towards the end of last summer for their engagement photos. We met at an old family farm, that includes a crumbling old house.

Old crumbling things always make for the best photos.

We then moved to Luke’s farm where they will live after their wedding.

We caught just the tail end of the sunset for this last image.

I can’t wait for their winter wedding!

Bethany & Logan | Engagement

They first crossed paths one night while both attending The Ohio State University. Bethany caught Logan’s eye with her blonde hair & long legs. That night Logan knew that Bethany was exactly who he wanted in life. After meeting, falling in love, & Logan graduating he relocated to miles away. Texas. Even long distance love couldn’t break these two.

We met on the last “nice” winter day in Ohio. The term nice can be taken pretty loosely in Ohio, it was about 40 degrees, not snowing, not windy, & the sun would sometimes show up. Perfect for engagement photos right?

Logan couldn’t stop talking highly of Bethany, he takes a huge sense of pride in all of her accomplishments. Bethany could barely stop laughing with Logan because he is really hilarious. Most of my couples at engagement sessions need direction, not with these two. They way they love each other was apparent. I let them do what they wanted, feeling like I was stealing moments as they happened.

I can not wait to have them in front of my camera again, their end of summer wedding will be here before we know it!
